Clinical Development × Innovative Technologies

From Clinical Trial Execution to Objective Treatment Assessment

Clinical Trials → Therapeutic Technologies & Medical Devices → Advanced Phenotyping → Clinical Evidence

Clinical Trials & Emerging Therapies

ViPC has participated in multiple Phase I–IV clinical studies in vitiligo and other pigmentary disorders, including industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies involving novel systemic immunomodulatory therapies, targeted treatments, and topical therapies.

Our assessment capabilities include standardized vitiligo and melasma scoring systems such as VASI and MASI, quality-of-life measures, standardized polarized photography, Wood’s lamp examination, dermoscopy, quantitative skin image analysis, and long-term efficacy and safety follow-up.

Medical Devices, Lasers & Therapeutic Technologies

Our research includes fractional and pigment-targeting lasers, microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, energy-based medical devices, device–drug combination therapies, and therapeutic strategies for both hypopigmentary and hyperpigmentary disorders.

Applications include vitiligo, melasma, depigmentation, treatment-associated pigmentary changes, pigment restoration, and technologies supporting cell-based therapies.

Skin Imaging, Technology Validation & Artificial Intelligence

We use non-invasive skin imaging and quantitative analysis to support diagnosis, assessment of disease activity and stability, treatment monitoring, and the development of more objective efficacy endpoints for clinical trials.

Our imaging platform includes Wood’s lamp examination, dermoscopy, spectrophotometric analysis, standardized digital photography, quantitative image analysis, non-invasive OCT tissue imaging, and AI/algorithm validation.

Translational Research

From Clinical Phenotypes to Melanocyte Biology

At ViPC, we aim not only to determine whether a treatment works, but also to understand why it works and how pigment restoration can be made more durable.

Translational Immunology & Pigment Biology

We integrate clinical phenotypes with blood-, tissue-, and skin imaging–based biomarkers to investigate inflammatory pathways, treatment response, disease recurrence, and mechanisms of melanocyte injury.

Our research platform includes:

  • High-dimensional immune profiling
  • Longitudinal biomarker studies
  • Primary human melanocytes
  • Melanocyte inflammatory models
  • Melanogenesis and dendricity analysis
  • Reconstructed pigmented epidermis and 3D skin models

Melanocyte Regeneration & Cell Therapy

Our regenerative research focuses on melanocyte survival, differentiation, melanogenesis, cell–cell adhesion, extracellular matrix and basement membrane microenvironments, cell transplantation, and post-transplant regenerative strategies.

Long-Term Research Direction

Our long-term goal is to move beyond preventing melanocyte destruction toward restoring functional melanocytes and establishing durable pigment regeneration.
