Dr. Charlene Chau Yee Ng, Director of the Vitiligo & Pigment Center at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Linkou), was recently invited to the Malaysia “Wellness for Parents – Charity Cloud Classroom” to deliver a lecture titled “What Dark Spots and White Spots Want to Tell You”. More than 100 online participants joined the session to learn about skin health and aesthetic dermatology.
In the one-hour lecture, Dr. Ng highlighted key topics:
☀️ Sunscreen essentials: correct application (two-finger rule), SPF, PA, and PPD explained
🧐 ABCDE rule: a simple guide to self-checking for early signs of skin cancer
⚡ Lasers & Aesthetic Dermatology:
👉 Importance of proper diagnosis and dermatologist evaluation, especially to rule out malignant lesions
👉 Emphasis on gentle, soothing, and antioxidant skincare post-laser, avoiding harsh actives
🧬 Advances in Vitiligo treatment: from pigment cell transplantation to immunotherapy
