At the 50th Annual Meeting of the Taiwanese Dermatological Association, the Vitiligo & Pigmentary Clinic (VIPC) team from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital presented cutting-edge research findings on three key topics related to vitiligo and one topic on melasma, making significant contributions to dermatological research and clinical practice:

  1. Optimizing Vitiligo Therapy with Combination Approach
Explored strategies for improving treatment success rates by combining various therapeutic modalities.

  2. Predictive Factors for Recurrences in Vitiligo
Dr. Hsin-Yu shared an oral presentation analyzing data from nearly 1,000 patients with vitiligo recurrences, offering valuable insights into the factors influencing relapse and guiding prevention strategies.

  3. Efficacy and Safety of Modified Vitiligo Blister Grafting
Dr. Yu-Wen delivered an oral presentation on the 1-year follow-up analysis of nearly 300 patients who underwent modified grafting procedures, highlighting the long-term safety and efficacy of the technique.

  4. Evidence-Based Approach in Melasma
Dr. Lai-Ying Lü presented on the application of evidence-based medicine in melasma treatment, providing a scientific foundation for managing this pigmentary disorder.

In addition to these presentations, the VIPC team was honored to host internationally renowned vitiligo experts, who visited the clinic and laboratory at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. These visits included research discussions and knowledge exchange, allowing participants to share experiences and insights on vitiligo treatment strategies across different countries.

These contributions and collaborations not only enhance the understanding of vitiligo but also pave the way for more effective and innovative treatment approaches in the future.
