🇰🇷【Participation in the 34th Yonsei Photomedicine Symposium, Korea】
In June 2025, Dr. Chau-Yu Huang of the Vitiligo and Pigment Center was honored to represent Taiwan at the 34th Photomedicine Symposium held at Yonsei University Hospital, hosted by the Korean Dermatological Association.
The symposium focused on the latest advancements in phototherapy, energy-based devices, and basic dermatological science, bringing together leading dermatologists and researchers from across Asia.
🔬 Research Presented:
Dr. Huang shared two ongoing research topics from Taiwan:
-
Clinical Challenges and Observations in Post-laser Leukoderma
-
Preclinical Development of Anti–IFN-γ Monoclonal Antibody EI-001 for Vitiligo
The EI-001 project is a collaborative effort between our center and the faculty of Chang Gung University, targeting IFN-γ–induced melanocyte damage as a novel therapeutic strategy for vitiligo.
🏥 Visit to Yonsei University Hospital
During the visit, Dr. Huang also toured Yonsei University Hospital. The medical campus features an open atrium, indoor greenery, and a dedicated art gallery—demonstrating how architecture and environment can support healing and patient well-being.
This international engagement has furthered bilateral collaboration in dermatology between Taiwan and Korea, and our center remains committed to advancing research and therapeutic development for pigmentary disorders.
