ViPC Monthly Pigment Meeting

Since its establishment, the Vitiligo and Pigment Clinic (ViPC) has been dedicated to promoting clinical education and knowledge-sharing in the field of pigmentary disorders. Our monthly Journal Reading and Case Discussion Sessions held at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital aim to provide a platform for in-depth learning and the latest updates in pigmentary research—particularly for dermatology residents and physicians interested in vitiligo and hypopigmentary diseases.

This month’s session focused on both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of pigmentary disorders, spanning advanced dermoscopic techniques and chemical peeling procedures—bridging innovative diagnostic tools with practical treatment strategies.

Chapter 5: Advances in Dermoscopy in Pigmentary Disorders
This presentation highlighted recent progress in dermoscopy applied to pigmentary disorders. It introduced key dermoscopic patterns for differentiating hypopigmented and hyperpigmented lesions, discussed new diagnostic algorithms, and illustrated how dermoscopy enhances accuracy and reduces unnecessary biopsies in clinical practice.

Chapter 17: Chemical Peels in Pigmentary Disorders
