💜 June Highlights|Vitiligo Education and Academic Exchange
June 2025 was a month of meaningful achievements for the Vitiligo and Pigment Center at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
In addition to hosting the World Vitiligo Day educational events, our team was invited to deliver three consecutive online lectures at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and Tri-Service General Hospital, sharing clinical insights and the latest advances in vitiligo management.
🔬 Eight Years of Research, Shared Internationally
Over the past eight years, our team has made strides in understanding vitiligo diagnosis, immune mechanisms, melanocyte biology, and treatment strategies. These efforts have been published in the SCI journal Dermatologica Sinica (From zero to one: Recent advances in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of vitiligo, CY Ng et al) and contributed to the Taiwanese Dermatological Association Vitiligo Treatment Consensus, aiming to promote evidence-based knowledge and expand treatment options for patients.
💊 Innovations and Future Directions
We also introduced the world’s first FDA-approved topical JAK inhibitor for vitiligo, shared our clinical experience, and highlighted several promising therapies in the development pipeline—marking unprecedented progress and new hope for patients.
🌱 Walking Together, Growing Together
We believe that medicine is a process of mutual learning. Sharing knowledge is not just an act of teaching, but an opportunity for collective thinking, mutual support, and shared growth.
We would like to share the symbolic Vitiligo Badge, representing our connection with global experts, teams, and patients.
Whether in research, clinical care, or emotional support, we walk this journey together, never alone.
We sincerely thank all partners and patients for their trust and support. The Vitiligo and Pigment Center will continue to combine science with compassion to help more individuals reclaim their strength.
